A reclaimed wood bench is a great way to emphasize/showcase a table top. Better than looking at the backs of chairs, benches also maximize seating, especially when seating children. We maintain the original distressing in the old Ontario barnwood we use, while making practical with modern clearcoat finishing. We design everything around the way it came out of the old barn. Within the frame style, which tends to vary a lot one project to another depending on customer preferences, we take this approach as well. Our shaker chairs are a simple country style that complement the style of our tables. On this project the customer opted to have them painted black, which provides a nice contrast to the reclaimed wood sawbuck table top.
