Our barnboard grey option brings the colour of the exterior of old pioneer barns into the floor boards. This is one of the few options where we add the colour in. Old barn floor boards [threshing floor] aren’t as exposed as the exterior boards so don’t have the same colour. We maintain the original distressing in the old Ontario barnwood we use, while making practical with modern clearcoat finishing. We design everything around the way it came out of the old barn. Within the frame style, which tends to vary a lot one project to another depending on customer preferences, we take this approach as well.
