Custom Ontario Barnwood Desk with a Durable Polyurethane Finish
Most of the time we fill in the pioneer distressing with clearcoat [no stain] to maintain the character/history while making practical/easy to clean/durable ect. However, some customers really want to feel the original distressing, in which case offer a simple polyurethane finish [no epoxy filling], which is what this desk customer opted for. While less practical, there is something cool about the original texture of the distressing being maintained. See pics!

Custom Finished Ontario Barnwood Hutch for a Burlington, Ontario Home
Since we custom build & finish all our reclaimed wood hutches from scratch, there are a lot of modifications we can do. In this case the customer opted for an unfinished top at the step back, with custom colour painted cabinetry. This is a rare option chosen but may be a great idea depending on your space. In this case they also opted for the hutch to be flush to floor as opposed to our usual 3″ clearance, which is also an option. Check out pics below!
