To seat two people comfortably, consider getting your table made wider. 48″ width or greater will seat two. On long tables this is a popular option; as you’ll still have the long/narrow table look and will be proportionate. Check out this barnwood trestle table project we made for a customer:

Reclaimed Wood Cottage Table with Light Epoxy Coating

To feel more of the original distressing, consider our light epoxy coating option. In this case we don’t fill the cavities/distressing. Though a bit less practical; the character of the wood is really pronounced.
