Passing of Fred Reinink
Wednesday, October 5, 2016
On Tuesday our general manager, my dad, Fred Reinink, passed away unexpectedly and is with the Lord. Many of you reading this would have met him, as he was always at the showroom location during regular hours. This has come very suddenly to us and our whole team is still dealing with this big loss. Fred ran the epoxy shop, the 2nd part of our process. This meant, in practical terms, he was the critical force that combined our 1st process [building] and 3rd process [final top coating].
As we are a small company, this has a couple consequences. First of all, emails will be responded to next week. Secondly, deliveries will be impacted for the next 1-2 weeks [we will be in touch with all customers who were slated for delivery this week; we understand the inconvenience in a couple cases as Thanksgiving weekend is a big deadline]. Most will be fulfilled. Lastly, building production will continue so we do not anticipate any major delays in general.
Dad was an institution. He leaves behind six children who have become successful leaders and entrepreneurs. Please pray for my mom, Marg (who runs the showroom), as she deals with this loss. I’d also like to recognize Michael and Wes, great employees who reacted swiftly and prudently in a very tough situation.
Thank you,
Gerald Reinink, Owner
