A common application of our tops is on existing island bases. The wood contrasts nicely with cabinetry and adds in character to the space. The epoxy finish makes the reclaimed softwood we use durable/waterproof and hot/cold resistant, which is great for kitchen islands. Check out this one we recently did in Toronto:
