Rustic Barnwood Wood Table in Mississippi Mills, Ontario
We keep as much of the original distressing from the distressed barnwood as we can. This includes the edges. I commonly get asked if we do “live edge” tables; and the answer would be: sortof. We don’ t do cut edge; meaning a perfectly sqaure edge; but we also don’t do the true live edge – meaning the outside edges are the same as the original tree edge. We do keep all the original distressing from the old barn floor boards we use [“threshing floor”] which has a lot of the wane/putting/wear and unevenness. Therefore, we are basically between live edge and the most common cut edge.
Check out this reclaimed table we delivered to a customer in Mississippi Mills, Ontario. The darker tones contrast nicely with the floor; and the leather chairs break up the wood grain in the table top and floor. The tasteful setup of the room really showcases the beauty of the reclaimed wood top. Check out pics below!
