We maintain nearly all the original distressing in the old barnwood we use, which is really how we get the unique look of our stuff. This means everything is rough at the unfinished stage. Our 2 stage clearcoat finish fills in all the old cavities and makes waterproof/good to get wet ect. Here are some pics from a recent reclaimed wood vanities project:

A common concern with a traditional [4 leg] harvest table is that taller people will hit their knees on the skirting. While we use 3″ skirting which will generally clear any knees, an option we offer is a tapered skirt.
