Most of the time we fill in the pioneer distressing with clearcoat [no stain] to maintain the character/history while making practical/easy to clean/durable ect. However, some customers really want to feel the original distressing, in which case offer a simple polyurethane finish [no epoxy filling], which is what this desk customer opted for. While less practical, there is something cool about the original texture of the distressing being maintained. See pics!

Everything we do is custom built, so we can modify our builds to your exact requirements. For this reclaimed wood desk project, the customer had an oddly shaped space but really needed to make it functional within given space limitations.
