Some of our customers prefer to feel the original distressing of the wood, while still having the practicality of a durable/waterproof finish. It’s a delicate balance between practicality and feeling the wood [the wood being rougher will make glasses less level; a bit tricker to clean]. Most of our product is naturally [clearcoat] finished [no stain]. In some cases our customers want to be able to predict the colour very specifically, with no redder tones. This is why we started offering this new option: black stain. This cuts out the reds and makes the whole table consistently very dark. ur new bleached treatment option maintains the natural colour of unfinished, while taking out the brown tones. Unfinished wood will be quite gray, but also have a degree of brown.
