Some of our customers prefer to feel the original distressing of the wood, while still having the practicality of a durable/waterproof finish. It’s a delicate balance between practicality and feeling the wood [the wood being rougher will make glasses less level; a bit tricker to clean]. We delivered this reclaimed boardroom table to a repeat Burlington customer last week. The beauty of not staining and the raw material being roughly the same age [from original Ontario forests] is we can match up orders from even years ago. In this case it was only a few years, but in some cases it’s customer from 10 years ago. The natural colour won’t change, which is why we’re against extensive staining [in some cases it’s unavoidable [turned legs; overly sanded componants] but the natural colour if always the best bet.
