The primary raw material we use is old growth Hemlock and Pine barnwood from pioneer barns found throughout Ontario. We don’t stain [just clearcoat] given our unique clearcoat finish. The colour of our tables comes from the old patina in the barnwood we use. The older wood gets, the darker it gets. Since the wood we use is over 150 years, there’s already a lot of colour to work with. Our unique epoxy + polyurethane finish allows us to keep this patina and not have to sand it out for smoothness. For smaller spaces, a sqaure pedestal table (or round) is a good option. For the Burlington reclaimed pedestal table project, there was bench seating on two sides which made a single pedestal post ideal. See pictures of the project below!
