A bench on one side is a great way to maximize seating [especially with kids], but they also don’t block the view the same way chairs do. In this case the customer did a bench on the window side so as to not impede the view. See pics below!

While not made out of reclaimed [with the amount of distressing we maintain and how “shaped/milled” chairs need to be building out of barnwood just wouldn’t be practical].
